Educating Domestic Violence Survivors and Advocates

Educating Domestic Violence Survivors and Advocates

Domestic violence and abuse does not discriminate, and it can happen to anyone. We hope to shed some light on the matter. We hope to collaborate with people from all walks of life-from those who have experienced family violence firsthand to those wish to help others escape from it.

Our common goal is to shed light on the issue of domestic violence and how it can affect children whether it is on a physical or emotional level. We aim to do this by educating people and give them a basic framework about the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) and the Virtues Program.

WE EDUCATE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SURVIVORS AND ADVOCATES

It all starts with Education.

Knowing the problem & learning the tools to cope with the problem, is the first step to solving the problem.

We provide these tools – we hope to collaborate with people from all walks of life - from those who have experienced family violence firsthand... to those who wish to help others escape it. We aim in bringing out the “child-within” each individual, for them to observe the extent of their own contribution. Everyone is welcome: “in the countdown to 2030, everybody counts and everybody is needed”.

By bringing focus to the issue of domestic violence and its effects on children, even if they are not in attendance. Our goal is to shed light on the “cycles of violence” within the family dynamics -  from the “honeymoon phase’ to the dark and ugly side of violence. We aim to do this by educating people and giving them a basic framework provided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UN-CRC) and the Virtues Program enlightening them on global standards.

PROVIDING TALKS, WORKSHOPS, PERFORMANCES AND ENCOURAGEMENT

Faezeh and her creative associates are catalysts in young people’s lives. She herself is a teacher seeking leadership and creative qualities, and as defenders of the 'Lil' ones, she aims to ensure that everyone is given a voice. Let’s break the silence and help stop the negative behaviours being taught behind “closed doors” impacting "The fabric of our society".

Faezeh is an accomplished speaker and has now dedicated herself to using her ‘voice’ to bring the message across a global platform. Where silence is not an option; we have to speak out - when and where we see it, and regardless of who we are facing. Children might appear to be OK, but sadly, frequent exposure to violence in the home can affect children in numerous social and physical situations. It also teaches them that violence is a normal way of life. They know of no other.

The writing is on the wall; perpetuating this learned behaviour risks them becoming society’s next generation of victims and abusers. Of that, there is no doubt.

We have a countdown... that violence against children has to end by 2030: it is the children who are the ‘forgotten’ victims of family violence and they are the ones that need to be informed so that it does end by 2030.
